. <9The following telegram was received yesterday •: — NAPIER. Thursday, Nov. 26, 10.57 a.m. Hon J". C. Richmond, Wellington. An engagement took place on the 23rd inst., in Poverty Bay. Te Kooti is supposed to he killed. More than twenty of the enemy were killed. The loss of the Government natives amounted to four killed and twelve wounded. Neithe* Iparty can bury their dead. Our position is admirably situated for '■■■ artillery practice. A man-of-war's rocket brigade, with two light guns throwing shells, grape, &c, muck wanted. DONALi M'kiSAN.
