This cargo is a direct importation from Howland Island, and the quality of the Guano is guaranteed pure and genuine. The advantages gained by the use of genuine Guano as a manure for either grain, or green crops, or grasses are well known to the skilled agriculturalist, and as a mixture of about 20 per cent, of nitrate of soda is an invaluable addition, a quantity has been imported for that purpose, the extra yield resulting from the application of this mixture amply repays the outlay. Used aa a manure for the growth of grass the results are most satisfactory. Samples may be seen at the office of COCHRAN, GRANGER, and BLACKWOOD. Auction Sales and Notices.
