Superintendent's Office, Southland, 27th October, 1868. rpENDERS will be received at this office until 2 p.m. of SATURDAY, the 14th NOVEMBER, for the Invercargill contract for completion of abont 3 miles of the Oreti Railway, and for the Winton contract for completion of about 15f miles of the Oreti Railway. It will be necessary that each tender be accompanied with a preliminary deposit of £50 for the former, and £100 for the latter contract. Drawings and Specifications may be seen |at this office, or at the office of Mr T. Paterson, C.E., Dunedin. The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or or any of the tenders, or may accept a tender npon conditions as to payment, which may be seen at the Superintendent's Office, Southlan HENRY ARMSTRONG, Deputy Superintendent £1000 EEWAED. npHE above Reward will be given by the Provincial Government for the discovery of a GOLDFIELD in the Province of Southland, within twelve months from the date hereof, which shall, within a period of six months, yield not less than 8000 ozs. of gold, or £500 reward for the discovery of a Goldfield outside the boundaries of the Province, yielding within the same period 8000 ozs. of gold, from which it will derive a direct and exclusive commercial benefit. * HENRY ARMSTRONG, Deputy Superintendent. ■ .
