It is reported, says the ' Bruce Herald,' that a new daily paper is to appear in Duuedin, under the management of Messrs Yogel and Fox. During the past week we (' Wakatip Mail,' 22nd October), have experienced all seasons of the year, from frost and snow to sunshine and hoat — from blustering and stormy winds to the calm of a midsummer's eve. This changeableness, however, seems to have passed over, and delightful weather set in. Nor has the district been free from repeated quakes — slight tremulations of mother carth — the last throes, one might imagine, of the internal disturbances which occasioned the wonderful upheaval in the South Pacific about two months ago,
