The s.s. Rangitoto left Port Chalmers at 8 p.m. on the 2nd, and passed the Heads at 8.30, where she landed the pilot ; entered Bluff Harbor at 11 a.m. on Tuesday the 3rd inst. The P.N.Z. & A.R.M. Co.'b s.b. Tararna, J. Hagley, commander, arrived at the Bluff at 4.30 a.m, on the 3rd, having on board mails for New Zealand per P. &O. Co.'s steamship. She sailed from the Sandridge Pier at 4 p.m. on the 26th, but as the English mail was telegraphed off the Schank, the ship waited for them till arrival, and the mails were transmitted, at 4.30 a.n., on the 29th, when steamer sailed ; had fine weather with westerly winds. She brings a large cargo, and is carrying a quantity of Btock for other ports.
