t pLYDESDALE HERO is a splendid Light ( \J Bay Horse, 6i lmm'ense power and perfect , symmetry, quiet temper, and good constitution ; ( stands S&teen Hands High, and possesses great i bone and muscle, a good worker, and sure foal c getter. He is out of the imported mare , Scotland's Pride (imported by Gr. H. Lee, Esq.,) , by the famous Scotch hoise Tom Sayers. Tom j Sayer3 took the First Prize at Kirkintulloch, when j only two years old ; Second Prize at the High- j land Society's Show at Dumfries; and when , three years old, First Prize at Dalbeatie, in ( Galloway ; same year, Second Prize at the High- < land Society's Show at Perth ; and at four years, First Prize at Coupar, Fife ; when five years old, First Prize at Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Tom Sayers -was bred by Mr Lockhart, Kirkmanoch, Stranraer, end of a thorough-bred Clydesdale mare, got by Bob Boy, the sire of Black Leg. PEDIGBEE: Scotland's Pride was foaled in 1857, bred by Mr John Anderson, df Smythson, Scotland ; the celebrated" Clydesdale mare, which gained the First Prize at the Hiphland Society's Show at Dumfries, in 1860, beating thirty-two others, considered very superior over all in her class (see Journal of Agriculture of the Highland Society of Scotland). The Sire was the celebrated Clydesdale Horse Lofty, who gained the Premium at. Glasgow, open to all Scotland and England. Clydesdale Hero will travel the Biverton and surrounding Districts.
