Nova; Scotia still exhibits discontent at the union with Canada. The local Government refused to allow its printer to print proclamations for rejoicings on the Ist July, the anniversary of the foundation of "the dominion. ' At Yarmouth j salutes were fired and American flags hoisted on the 4th of July. The harvest is a good average one.
