IVEE RURAL DEAN of Otago and Southland gives public notice that a Meeting of the General Synod will be holden in Auckland, on the sth of October next. Three Clergymen and four Laymen are to be elected as Representatives for the Diocese of Dunedin, for a period of three yeora. Laymen of the age of 21 years and upwards, who shall have signed the following declaration, namely : — " I ,do hereby declare, thatl a m a member of the United Church of England and Ireland, in New Zealand," are qualified to vote for the Lay Representative of the District of the Diocese in which they reside, and every such Layman being a Communicant, may be elected as a Lay Representative, whether resident or not in the district for which he is elected. ELECTORAL DISTRICTS. . 1. From Dunedin (including the city and suburbs of Dunedin) to the Mataura — Returning Officer, C. Caldwell, Esq., Dunedin, 2.
