WOOL REPORT.

As was to be expected, after the absorption of so large a quantity as that which recently passed under the hammer, no inquiry for colonial wool has arisen in the LqndonMarket since the close of May. In June -the prices were well maintained, having regard to the short period which would elapse before the commencement of the August sales. It was scarcely to be expected that any demand would spring up in the interval. The importations already amount to 158,635 bales. It is estimated that the quantity will be increased by some 50,000 or 60,000 bales before the sales begin.
