TN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the •*- General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled ' The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858/ I, John Hare, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Invercargill, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the Ist day of September, 1868, issued under the hand of the Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Southland, an ELECTION will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the Provincial Council of Southland, for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION of CANDIDATES will take place at the Court House, Invercargill, on Tuesday, the 15th day of September, 1868, at noon; and that the poll (if necessary), will take place on Wednesday, the 16th day of September, 1868.
