PORT CHALMERS.
(FBOM OUB, OWN" COBBESPOJTOEKT.) Saturday, August 15. The tidal agitation at this port has been remarkable. The water: rose and fell with great r rapidity in an hour. Atthe Heads two ships were turned completely round twice, and Other ex--traordinary phenomena occurred. The Coomerang steamer was whirled - : round and round but escaped without . damage. The men employed in the landing, service had a narrow escape from being overwhelmed.
