ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.

we do wot xdeittipt oxrasEiVES ik any way ! WITH THE OPINIONS EXPBESSED BY OTTB COBBESBONDENTB. FAEMEES CLUBS. (TO THE EDITOB OF THE SOUTHLAND TIMKS.) Sib, — The subject of the establishment of Agricultural Clubs, which you have brought prominently before the public, is one in which we farmer folks are much interested. I hare spoken to my neighbours, and they all seem to wish that a club Bhould be formed in this district, but there is no one to take it in hand. The Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's general meeting will soon be held, and I think that every district should form a Society as an auxiliary to to the Southland Association. It is the outspreading branches of every tree that gives strength to the trunk. I am a plain outspoken man, but I have lived long enough to know that union is strength, and that if Southland is to maintain its reputation as an Agricultural district, the formers must have their district Societies, and work hard to aid the central Association. The establishment of these district clubs, would I think, be of great benefit to the country, and I hope you will keep the subject before the farmer and the wool grower, in season and out af season, until every district in Southland has established its local Club. — I am, Sir your obedient servant., Fabmeb. Long Bush, 27th July, 1868.
