By auction, nothing has taken place.

"West Coasfc Times " of July 20th reports : — An extremely limited amount of business has been done in the import market during the week, and business generally has been flat and unprofitable, otherwise could not have been expected, considering the state of the weather, which has been for nearly the whole week one incessant' downpour of .rain day and night, unequalled by anything we have in our long residence on the West Coast experienced. Imports have been confined to the assorted cargo of the Ceres, and produce by the Martha and Lavina, principally potatoes, which were partially placed at £6 per ton, a good sample, especially for seed purposes ; produce generally has maintained last quotation.
