And we command all our Sheriffs in our said Colony at certain days and places appointed or to be appointed, to be aiding by all lawful means in the performance and due execution of the premises. In testimony whereof, we have caused these our Letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of our Colony to be hereunto affixed. Witness our trusty and wellbeloved Sir Geoege Eeegvson Bowes, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Goyernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over our Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice- Admiral of the same ; at Government House, at Wellington, in New Zealand aforesaid, this fourth day of July, in the thirty-second year of our reign, and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
