TN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the -** General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," 'I, James Subjiam", Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waiau, do hereby give notice thatj by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the 16th day of June 1868, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Southland, an Election will be held for jthe Return of a Qualified Person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District j and that this Nomination of Candidates will take place at the House of Mr Ayimeb, Run No. 166, on WEDNESDAY, the first day of July 1868; and that the Poll (if necessary) witt be taken on SATURDAY, the fourth day of July 1868. • Dated this 18th day of June 1868.
