IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, JAKBB Submak, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waiau, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the 16th day of June 1868, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Southland, an Election will be held for the Return of a Qualified Person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District ; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the House of Mr Atxxsb, Run No. 166, on WEDNESDAT, the first day of July 1868 ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on SATURDAT, the fourth day of July 1868.
