Otago left Melbourne ac 3 p.m. on tlje 12th; experienced a, strong easterly wind first 13 hours,- latter part fresh breeze from south; passed the Solander Island at 8.45 a.m., and arrived at the Bluff at 3 p.m. on the" l7th. She reports the' a. s. Auckland having left Melbourne on the 10th for Hokilika, and East Coast port's. The s.s. Otago passed the p.s. Southland, from' Hokitika to "Melbourne, in Bank's Straits.
