PRUSSIA.
At a sitting of the North German Parliament on April 2 the treaty recently concluded with the United States, settling the nationality of emigrants, passed the final reading almost unanimously, the Polish members dissenting. Count von Bismarck said that the treaty would alwaya be carried into effect in a conciliatory Bpirit. Mr Bancroft was present' during the sitting in the ambassadors'' box. j It is semi-officially stated that, although ' by virtue of the recent ukase the kingdom of Poland in Russia has ceased to exist, the Prussian consulate-general in Warsaw will still be continued, since the duties of the office in question are of a commercial and not of a political character.
. PRUSSIA AND AMERICA. Mr Bancroft, the American minister in Berlin, has received full powers from his government to conclude a treaty of commerce and navigation with the North German Confederation and the Zollverein. , The negotiations will not commence until after the ratification of the treaty relative to the nationality of emigrants.
