Miscellaneous FEE3STCH MEDICINES. Prepared by Giimault and Co., Chewist H. I. H. Prince Napoleon, Paris. — Theses efferent medicines represent tlie most recent odical discoveries, founded on the principles of ihemislry and therapeutics. They must not be confounded with secret or quack medicines, as their names sufidenth) indicate their composition; ' a circumstance wnich has caused them to be appreciated and prescribed by the faculty in the whole world. They widely differ from those numerous medicines advertised in ihe public papers, as able to cure every possible disease, as they are applicable only to but a very few complaints. The most striraent laws exist in France, with regard to ihe sale of medical preparations, and only those which have undergone an examination by the Academy of Medicine, and have been proved efficacious, either in the Tospilals or in the practice of the first medical men, are authorised by the Government. This fact must be a guarantee for the excellency of Messrs Grimault and Cos. medicines. — Doctor Leras' (Doctor of Medle'ne) Liquid Phosphate of ron. — The newest aud most esteemed medicine n cases of Chlorosis, Pains in the Stomach, difficult Digestion, Dismenorrhea, Animea, General Debility and Poorness of Blood. It is particularly recommended to regulate the functions oj. nature, and to all ladles of delicate constitution, as ioett as to persons suffering under every Tcind of debility whatsoever, it is the preservative of health (par excellence), in all warm and relaxing climates. No more Cod Liver Oil — GrimauU's Syrup of lodized Horse-Radish. — This medicine has been administered with tlie utmost success in the Hospitals of Paris. It is a perfect substitute for Cod Liver Oil, and has been found most beneficial in Diseases of the Chest, Scrofula Lymphatic Disorders, Green Sickness, Muscular Atony and loss of Appetite. It regenerates fhe constitution in purifying ihe blood, being the most powerful depuralive known. It has also been applied with happy results in Disease of ihe Skin. Furthur, it will be found to be of great benefit to young children subject fo Humours and Obstruction of the Glands. Consumption Cured — GrimauU's Syrup of HypTiosph'de of Lime — This new medicine is considered to be a sovereign remedy in cases of Consumption and other Diseases of Ihe Lungs. It promptly removes all the most serious symptoms. The cough is relieved, night perspirations cease, and Ihe patient is rapid 7// reslord io health. N.B.
