Tiaras Office, Saturday Evening; Rttsseh and M'CoiiOTTG-H report : — Oar sale last Saturday was well attended, principally in consequence of our offering a choice and varied assortment of trees, shrubs, plants, &c, whicli we were instructed to sell to the highest bidder. The prices realized were anything but encouraging, although the bidding was brisk, and we were compelled to place them in small lots. Apple trees, Is 9d to 4s j red currants, 4s ; black do, 2s 6d ; gooseberries, 2s ; Scotch fir 3, 4d to 6|d ; blue gum, 3d ; wattle and willows, 2d to 3d ; &s., &c. Hosses. — This market has been dull, and we have not disposed of any. A demand, however, doe 3 exist for those of a suitable stamp, more especially for useful dranght stock. Sheep. — We sold a mob of 100 fat ewes, at 118 6J, privately, but buyers are holding off until our auction at the Bridge Inn on Monday next. Catsue. — Our sale, advertised for the 10th, at Wallacetown, is unavoidably postponed for one week, but on the 15th we shall offer a superior mob of provincial bred at Sutherland's In our hands at present, for sale at an early date, are lot of cattle ex Susan, from New South Wale 3, they are perfectly healthy (none having died on the passage), principally young heifers, well bred and quiet ; in fact a mob well calculated to remove any prejudice to imported stock. Station Propebty.— We have in our hand some valuable stations in this Province for private treaty, but have not as yet operated. Laitd and House Pbopebty is very dull of sale. Merchandise. — We held a clearing out sales of Mr Todd's goods at his store near the Jetty. The assortment was miscellaneous, the attendance limited, and the prices very low. All the lots found buyers, excepting the horse and buggy, which were reserved for sale at our yards. The market being bare of Tasmanien timber, we may reasonably be expected to realise fair prices for the timber in the store on the 12th inst., which will be piled in lots to suit purchasers .
