IN pursuance of the prcn !s<ons of an Act oi the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulation of Eleotiona Act, 1858," I, James Suuaan, Betpirmg Officer for the Electoral district of Waiau, do hereby give notice tha£by virtue of a Writ, bearing date 26th day of May, 1868, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Soatb'and, an ELECTION w'U be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION of Ci NDIUATES will take place at the House of Mr Ay'mer, Run No. 166, on Satp-*day, the thirteenth day of June, 1868, and that the poll ff necessai/} will be talen on Monday, the fifteenth day of June, 1868.
