The "Argus" of' tho 25th. itisfc. contains the following items of intelligence :— The political crisis still continues.' No fresh Ministry has been formed. The M'Culloch Administration contiune to hold office, pending the appointment of their successors. The members of the Opposition to whom the G-overnor has appliod, refuse to take office without tho power of dissolution, in tho event of an adverse vote of the Assembly on the question of supplies, and- tho M'Culloch Cabinet refuse te return to office unless the Governor consents to tho Darling grant being included in the Appropriation Bi!L His Excellency hesitates to accede to the wishes of either party. Parliament, although summoned for the ICdi ;nll. t l ttt a\ iio<r-yetr-bcen-fj&rmally: opened, although it has uiefc and adjourned/on several occasions. — The wheat harvest i* Vie-, toria shows a 'decrease of 1,151,312 bushels as compared with the returns for 1867- Comparatively high prices are anticipated. — Our goldfields are in a very healthy condition, - and; it is hoped that the yield for the present year will show an increase on that for 1567. — Tho postal arrangements are causing great dissatisfaction, ifetrly overy mail steamer leaves lie'ro on Sunday, and in consequence of the absurd regulations which are :n iorce, it is almost impossible for merchants to obtain bills of ladiug for the gold which they transmit. — The preservation and exportation of meat is.rapidly rising in importance, aud promisas soon/ to become a very valuable industry. ■-
