WE DO NOT IDENTIFY OURSELVES IN ANT WAY. WITH THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED BY OTJR CORRESPONDENTS. ♦ THE FUTURE OF SOUTHLAND. (to thb editor of thb southland times.) Sib,, — I was very glad to perceive in the Times of the 20th inst. an extract of a well written letter, evidently meant for an intending emigrantto Southland. Ithinkthat there is not sufficient importance attached to the necessity of resuming immigration ; nor is there any doubt that the great capabilities of this Province should be disseminated far and) wide. There should be an earnest desire evinced in placing before the people "at home the resources of the Province, its adaptability for settlement, and the facilities offered by the Government to resume immigration. — I am, <fee, Spectatob. 2lst April, 1868.
