MALTING BARLEY.

(to the bditoe of thb southland times.) g IBj — I have read with pleasure your article in a recent issue on malting operations carried on in the neighborhood of Biverton. I write to correct an error in the estimate of the quantity of barley available for malting purposes, which is given at two thousand bushels, and which should have been stated at twelve thousand bushels. I can readily understand this to be merely a typographical ' error ;^but, as it has not beencorrected,

I write to rectify it. In other respects the article has afforded great pleasure in this district, both as showing what may be done, and urging to increased effort. — I am, &c, Kiterton. [W~e k thank our Eiverton friend for the correction. "We believe that from two holdings in the Eiverton district over two thousand bushels of malting barley will be available during the coming malting season. — Ed. 8. T.]
