TTTHEEEAS by the 9th section of the : Jr ; Tfv "; Educ^tionj /Ordinance, 1 . -1867," of the Provincial Council of the Province of Southland it isr enacted that the Superintendent may upon the recommendation, of the; Education Board proclaim aiew districts, and from time to time subdivide or alter the boundaries of Educational Districts: r And, whereas the Education Board has recommended me to proclaim the districts hereinafter described ; now therefore, I, the said Superintendent, in pursuance of the power in me vested in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the districts named in the Schedule hereunder written, and whose boundaries are therein set forth shall be Educational Districts under the said in part recited Ordinance ; and Ido hereby further declare that the provisions of the said Ordinance shall come into operation in the Baid districts from and after the third day bt' March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
