PUBLIC NUISANCE.
(TO THE EDITOB 05 THB SOUTHLAND TIMBS.) Sic,—Will you inform me who is responsible for the nuisance which may be constantly witnessed of stray pigs, goats, horses, and cattle of various descriptions. Gro where you may through the town you observe all sorts of animals on the side paths, and in the more unfrequented parts it is positively dangerous. I would not be surprised to hear some day of an accident occuring to children or nurse-girls, who may be out for exercise in the afternoon. Tours, &c., Citizen. [The police should certainly take some steps to curb the nuisance complained of. Ed. 8. T.)
