It will be well to remind those persons who contemplate sending in claims to have their names placed on the Electoral 11 oils, that any irregularity in filling up the forms will endanger the object they have in view. There is one error, we have reI marked, is pretty general, and it is that most persons seem to be under the impression that they must claim for the Provincial District in which they reside and address their claims to the Registration Officer of that district, an office that has no existence. The claims must be addressed and sent in to the several Registration Officers for the districts returning Members to the House of Representatives, viz., Invercargill, Mataura, River ton, and "Wallace. The district of Mataura comprises all the land (except the town of Invercargill) between the Mataura and Oreti Rivers; the northern boundary being the boundary of the 2000 acre blocks. The district of Riverton comprises the town of Riverton and all the land between the Oreti River and the western boundary of the Aparima and Jacob's River Huudreds ; and the district of "Wallace comprises all the rest of the Province, including part of Otago. The names of the claimants are inserted in the various Provincial Rolls for the districts in which the property is situ ited after their claims have been allowed hy the Revising Officer. The following are the Registration Officers to whom the claims should be addressed and forwarded : — lavercargill and Mataura — John Hare, R.M. Court ; Riverton — D. S. Law! or, R.M., Riverton; Wallace — C. R. Martin, Ryal Bush.
