CHINA AND JAPAN.
The Tycoon of Japan had resigned his powers to Micado. Yeddo and a new portion of the Island of Sado are to be opened on the Ist of April. The Imperial Chinese forces met with a severe repulse. A powder explosion took place at WyChing on the 9th November, by which many lives and much property were dectroyed. The Viceroy's palace was blown up into the air. The United States Consul at Amoy ha.s made a treaty with the Formosa Savages by which wrecked seamen will be protected. Commodore Watkins had died on board the Costa Rica. An international regatta was held at Shanghai on the 28to October, and the races commenced on the 30th.
