Tuesday, January 28. A fire was discoveaed last night in the Government-house Lodge. It was evidently the work of an incendiary. An inquest will be held to-morrow. "Wednesday. Great suspicion entertained regarding wreck of Esmeralda at Opara, enquiry will be instituted. Schooner Despatch, that was ashore at heads, got off and gone to Chatham Islands. £50 reward offered for discovery of persons who attempted to set fire to Government Lodge.
