ARRIVAL OF THE "PHOEBE" WITH THE ENGLISH MAIL VIA PANAMA AT BLUFF HARBOR.
♦ (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) ♦ (Prom the Otago Daily Times, Jan., 28.) "Wellington", 25th January. The s.s. Ruahine arrived in the harbor, this day, at 5.30 p.m. Her outward trip was done in 26 days. She started on her return voyage two days late, owing to the late arrival of the mails at Panama. She had a good passage. Passengers : ITor "Wellington — Messrs H. C. Hewitt, Coombe, Cortett, Fox, Miss Bradley, Captain Kerr, Campbell, Lusher, Mrs Lusher, Miss Lusher, Gontizoire. For Auckland — E. Adams, Mrs Adams. For Canterbury — Lord Lyttelton, Hon. S. Lyttelton, Wood, Selfe, M'Donald. For Otago — Mrs Strong, Rogers, Carey, Brown, Dobson, Thornhill. For Sydney— Mrs Hodgers, Misses Hodgers (4), Mr Hodgers, Master Hodgers, Saddington, Dr Kingsley, Levick, Gibson. The latest advices from New York are to December 16th, and from London to the 15th.
