The whalin? brig Anjherst, has baulod alongside the -wharf, and 13 discharging her cargo, which consists cf-nine tons oil, and 270 seal skins. She has trnshipped on board the Ethel* for London, 257 skins. The stores for her outward trip are being shipped to-day, and ifc is the intention of Captain G-ilroy to proceed to sea to-mor-row (Saturday.) Our Blu'l correspondent, under .date Thursday, 23rd inst., says: — the barque Anna, ■which ieft on 10th. inst., arrived in the harbor this morning, and at present is anchored off the Pilot Station. She lias on board 300» tons coal, consigned to Mr H. T. Ross. The schooner Pioneer, Cap'ain Smith, which put in here, on Friday night, lias had a most adventurous vojage from Dunedin. She left there for Okarita ninety-seven, days ago, but could not succeed in getting over Okarita bar until eighty days .after sailing- from Dunedin, having been repeatedly blown to the northward 1 of Okaata, after making it, and was also sevens teen days bar-bouaJ. Notwithstanding that she experienced such tempestuous weather, the cargo, consisting of forty-three tons of mershandise for Mason and Co., waa turned out in excellent condition. She left for Dunedin in ballast on Saturday week, but experienced such heavy weather that she w.is «oinpelied to put in here, and wait for a fair mad. — Wellington Independent, Tth January. .:. . .
