ITALY.
The agreement of Italy to the Conference is probable, but is not officially announced. The Pope accepts the Conference, and will demand the guarantee of the status quo* The Italian Government has addressed a despatch to France, deprecating the prolonged occupation of Koine by the French troops, and declaring that the September convention "has wholly failed. Garibaldi is still a prisoner at Spezzia, where it is stated he is treated with great severity, to induce him to go to America. The physicians sent bj the Government recommend his removal to Caprera, on account of his bad health. It is asserted that he will be tried. Nine hundred Garibaldian prisoners have been handed over to the Italian Government. The .Roman National Committee has issued a manifesto urging a fresh rising. The French troops are preparing to leave Borne. . A grant banquet was given to them by the Kotnan' nobility. Bridandage has recommenced in the Roman territory. Tha French Ambassador has returned to Some. An eruption of Mount Vesuvius is going on. -
