Message No. 1.. . -. -—- ; - - The following message, ; No. . 1, was announced from His Honor the Superintendent. " The Superintendent begs to transmit for the information of the Council, a copy of a telegram received yesterday from the Honorable the Colonial Secretary. John P. Taylob. Superintendent. Superintendent's Office, Southland, Jan. 7th, 1868."
[Telegram] To His Honor the Superintendent of Southland. * The G-overnor will be advised to set apart 60,000 acres to finish the Railway. E. W. Stapfobd. Wellington, January 6th, 1868.
