Tararua left Sandridge pier at six p.m. on the 28th Dec ; passed through Port Phillip Heads at nine ; entered Banks' Straits at three p.m. on 29th, and passed Swan Island at four p.m. Bame day. Made the Solanders at 230 a.m. on 2nd January, and finally arrived at the Bluffsame day at eight a.m. The Tararua has again • made one of those successful runs for which she is justly celebrated, haying accomplished the voyage from wharf to wharf in four days fourteen hours. She brings a good general freight for Southland, and her usual complement of passen- " gers for all ports. Passed s.s. Otago off Wilson's Promontory at 4 a.m. The s.s. Gothenburg, Captain Underwood, left Hobson's Bay at 11 a.m. on the 27th alt. ; passed Port Phillip Heads at 2 p.m., and Cape Schank at 3.40 p.m. same day. Experienced strong N.W. winds to the Swan, thence moderate westerly and S.W. -winds to the Solanders, which was passed at 2.30 a.m. on the 2nd inst., and arrived at Bluff Harbor at 8 a.m. same day. The Gothenburg brings a large cargo and a number of passengers for the various ports. ■ - -■■♦
