Distance — Two miles and a half, over ten nights of Hurdles, three feet nine inches high. Entrance 2 soys. Town Plate, of 60 soys., open to all horses. Weight for age. Distance — Three miles. Entrance, 3 soys. Ladies' Pubse, of 25 soys., open to all horses. Welter weights for age. Gentlemen riders. Professional riders to carry 71b. extra. Distance — One mile and a half. Entrance 30s. SELiiiim Race, of 20 sors, open to all horses. Winner to be sold for 35 soys. { any surplus to go to the Race Fund. To be run off without dismounting. Distance — Once round the Course. Heats. Entrance 1 soy. INTEBCABGILL HANDICAP, of 70 SOYS., with sweepstake of 4 soys. each added. The winner of the Town Plate to carry 51bs. extra. Distance — Two miles. Entrance, 4 soys. ; half forfeit if declared after weights are published. Consolation Handicap, of 25 soys., for all beaten horses during the meeting. Distance — Once" round the Course. Entrance 20s. Hubby Scubby, of 10 soys. Distance— Once round the Course. Catch weights. Entrance, 10s Post entry. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entries will be received for any of the Races except upon' these- conditions, that all claims and objections arising outof the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, whose decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the above programme shall be final. S.R..C. Rules strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subsbriber of 3 soys. to the Race Fund — unless he be a member of the Southland Racing Club, when 1 soy. shall qualify. All entries must be sealed and addressed to the Stewards (entrance money enclosed), with name age, pedigree, of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Three horses to be entered, or no public money will be added. No Jockey allowed to ride except in the colors entered. Entries must be made to the Stewards, and addressed to Colyer's Princess Hotel, Invercargill, befoi'e the hour of eight o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 4th of February 1868. Handicaps will be declared the same night, except for Invercargill Handicap, which will be declared on the evening of Thursday, tbe 6ih oi February 1868, at Sutherland's Bridge Inn Hotel, at 8 p.m. All dogs found on the Course will be destroyed, irrespective of ownership.
