The violent gale which blew from the westward during Friday night and throughout the whole of Saturday, has worked sad havoc in many of the gardens in the vicinity of the town. Peas, beam, and such like have Buffered severely, whilst trees, shrubs, and plants in blossom hare been much_ damaged. Those who take a delight in seeing '-:■ their gardens well cultivated and in good crop must, if they wish to reap the fruits of their toil ,^ pay primary attention to the raising of substantial quick fences. This species of shelter has as yet been much neglected about InTMreargill.
