ABBIVBD. Not. 21— Taranaki, s.a., from Dunedin. PORT OF NELSON. SAILED. Nov. 21, 2 a.m. — Alhambra, s.s., for Weit Coast. Not 21, 2 p.m.— Airedale, •.». for Picton.
The steamship Omeo, Hugh Mackie, commander left Port Philip Heads at 5.30 p.m. on the 16th inst. ; passed Swan Island^ at 1 p.m. the' following day. Experienced strong W. and S.W. gal. s the whole of the voyage. Arrived at Bluff at 8 30 a.m. on the 21st, after a splendid passage of four days fifteen hours. Laid to last night with thick weather for three hours; sighted Solander Island at 3 a.m. this morning. The Omeo brings 37 horses for here, and 160 for Dunedin. It is reported by some of the passengers of the Omeo, that about 70 sheep were lost during the passage. At 5 p.m. yesterday a man, name unknown, jumped overboard. A rope was thrown to him, but without effect, as he quickly disappeared.
