RECEPTION COMMITTEES.
(TO THB EDITOR 0? THE SOUTHLAND TIMES.) Dear Sir,— You will be conferring a favor on some of the late e?nployes of the Governor's Reception Committee if you would kindly insert this letter in your journal. It is now some time since great preparatiens were made for the reception of His Excellency Sir George Grey, on the occasion of his visit to this Province, and as yet' many who were employed have not received, any payment for their labors: There must be great blame attached to some person or persons..; There, is :no doubt but that shortly there will be some- more Reception Committees formed. Would' it not be best for to settle the J old 'scores first ? asmany who were ,. empl pyed. in- the^ late re--ception can ill afford -to be loosers.
