.;:■■ .:■■, Beelin, 9th August. ■ Von Bismarck's official organ here strongly urges the Great Powers of Europe* to interfere in the Cretan, question. At the date of the last official accounts, the Baron had unsuccessfully interefered to save the life of the Emperor Maximilian, aud it is thought that he thereby provoked the hostility of the Mexican leaders. No despatches have been received from him for a long time past. A Convention of prominent members of the Liberal Party of Southern Germany, was held at Stuttgard, on the 7th instant, and resolutions were adopted by the Convention, urging the Southern States of Germany to unite with those of the North German confederation. An Army Commission, appointed to examine the Ghassepot rifle, the favorite arm of the French service, have reported against its adoption by the Prussian War Department. King' William, on the 2nd instant, issued a proclamation, assuming the duties of Sovereign of the North German States. Baron Von Heydt, the Minister., of Finance, will show, in the forthcoming Budget, that. the revenues of the Kingdom of Prussia exceed the expenditure. The City of Hamburg has agreed to sign a military treaty with Prussia. A son of Mr George Bancroft, Ambassador from the United States to the Court of Prussia, arrived in Berlin on 6th inst. -...'■
