GisNTiEMEN, — -With the certainty of being charged with vacillation and indecision of character, I have decided to place my services at your disposal; my intention to r>o so being known and approved of by such of my friends in the New River district, as I have been enabled in the short time left to communicate with. . The Requisition which you have done me the honor to forward is so numerously signed, that to &<r aught than respond in the affirmative would . almost savor of contempt, nevertheless, did I not believe the cause to be in some danger, and that theadditibn of one to its rank of sup* porters would prove beneficial to the'Province, I should feel compelled courteously to decline appearing before the electors of Invercargill after having so frequently and so deliberately avowed that I would take no further active part in mat* tors political. I remain, Gentlemen, Your Obedient Servant, HENKY ARMSTRONG, Fern' Busb,---,-AoguaflYth,lß67,
