Weldon, Esq., Chief Commissioner of Police for the Province of Southland, and by virtue of Warrants of Distress issued by the Resident Magistrate at Invercargill, against Joseph Leddru (master of the vessel known as the James Paxton), for wages due and owing to seamen of the said vessel, amounting to £99 14s, with costs £1 7s 6d. (ninety-nine pounds fourteen shillings, and one pound seven shillings and sixpence). NOTICE is hereby given, that the said vessel, tackle, and appurtenances will be Sold by Public Auction at the inveroargiil Jetty, at 12 o'clock noon, on the 10th day of August, 1867, if the said amount, together with costs, are not paid.
