The foUowing letter has been addressed to Mr PoweU by WilUam Boards, Esq., an extensive Agriculturist and Land Agent, residing at Edmonton, Middlesex : — Nightingale HaU, Edmonton. "DeabSib, — I have recently suffered much from a most violent cough, proceeding from tickling in my chest, which no remedy, out oi many I resorted to, could aUay. My head was constantly aching, aud my whole frame entirely shaken. Having seen the good effects of your Balsam of Aniseed in several members of my famUy, I purchased a smaU bottle, and when going to bed at night took a teaspoonful in two table spoonfuls of water just warm. The effec* was immediate ; it arrested the tickling in mj chesty I slept weU, and arose perfectly restored in the morning, with the exception of debility, arising from fatigue' by incessant coughing for some days previous. My cough entirely left me, and has never returned. Having since heard of a lady ih the neighborhood who for a long time had labored tinder a most distressing cough, and who had resorted to every remedy within her knowledge, I sent the remainder of the bottle to her j and that long-standing obstinate, and (as she thought) incurble cough, was perfectly cured. Tou are at perfect liberty to make what use you may please of this communication, as the contents are strictly true. I shaU take every opportunity of recommending your inestimable medicine, feeling, as I do, fuUv assured of its efficacy. I am, dear Sir, yours yery truly, Wm. Boabds « To Mr Thomas PoweU." POWELL'S BALSAM OF ANISEED. Prepared solely by THOMAS POWELL, 16, Blackfriars-road, , London ; and sold in bottles only by aU chemists and storekeepers throughout Australia. EPPS'B HOMCEPATHIC COCOA.— Homcepathic Practitioners and the Medical prfession generaUy, recommend COCOA as being the most healthftd of aU beverages. When the doctrine of homcepathy was first introduced into England, there were to be obtained no preparations of cocoa either attractive to the taste or acceptable to the stomach ; the nut was either suppUed iv the crude state or so unskilfully manufactured as to obtain Uttle notice. J EPPS, of London, homcepathic chemist, was induced, in the year 1839, to turn his attention to this subject, and at length succeeded, with the assistauce of elaborate machinery, in being the first to - introduce -an article pure in its composition, and so refined by the perfect trituration it receives in the process it passes through, as to be most acceptable to the deUcate stomach.
