[ since j last meeting. v With reference to the pro- i priety of having a Sabbath School in connexion- with the. Presbyterian Church at; Queenstown, the Presbytery "recommends the Committe to "commence a Sabbath School as soon as they deeem it advisable. . .:_ :■ : j-\j< :■'■■...„: It was agreed that the Presbytery, with the concurrence of the. Church Extension Committee, invite.the Bey. Mr Eerguson, of Lyttelton, to labor at Queenstown and Arrow for three months, and that the Church -Extension Committee be asked to- continue Mr Telfred till Mr Ferguson's arrrival, or for other three months, in, the event . of Mr Eerguson declining to come. In the event of Mr \ Telfred being removed from Queenstown, the -* Presbytery agreed to request the Ohurch Extension Committee to appoint him to the Pastoral district of Southland £oj six months; ■.', . ... ;■..■■ Mr Stobo reported that the Committee appointed had not- yet conferred with the authorities, with respect to enforcing the laws against Sabbath desecration, but stated that it must" be gratifiying.to the Presbytery that the authorities were beginning to take more active . measures for stopping' Sabbath desecration, and had discontinued the Sabbath . excursion trains. . .
