We take the following from the "Daily Times" (Dunedin), 26th ult :— '• The fine weather has caused a little more appearance of activity; but the amount of business doing is still small, and there is no marked demand for any particular goods. The country trade continues light, and for town requirements very little i 3 selling; outside trade is, however, improving, and promises to rema in good for the present. A few packages of brandies have been placed at our last quotations ; and some small sales of provisions and building materials arc nrymoci, mii< rmi.rnTig in prices •realised furnishes occasion for notice. At Messrs MiJandress, Hepburn and Go's sale of beers, the parcels offered were quitted, but at very low prices, owing to condition."
