The branch mail steamer Wonga ' Wonga, Captain Giainger, arrived off ; the Q-lenelg at 2 p.m., occupying 100 hours from the Sound, and on the down--1 ward passage 76 hours. -•: The mail steamer Geelong, Captain Skottowe, left Galle at 8 p.m. on the 1 20 th April, and experienced strong S.E. trade winds, with heavy head seas, but made a quick passage of 14 days 7 hours. 1 Captain Stackhouse, naval agent; Mr 1 Leversage, purser. ; Mr Attwood, apassenger for Sydney, died at sea on 24th April, and was buried on the following day. London, April 8. Latest price Consols 91 ; Bank discount 2|- to 3 per cent. Wool, three halfpence lower on fleece ; one penny lower on greasy. Tallow in good demand. P.Y.C. on the spot 43s 6d. Australian sheep sold at 43s 6d to 445. Oils, fine Sydney cocoanut sold at 46s 6d. No business in sperm.
