The accouchment of the Princess Christian is expected in April, and. that of the Princess Mary in May next. : Colonel Nelson and Lieut. Brand have been committed to take their trial at the coming sessions. A, irightful and. complicated accident had occurred on the Lancashire and i Carlisle Railway, about 20 miles from the latter city, on the 9th March, Through Ireland (?) the following changes have been made in the British Cabinet: — The Duke of Richmond has become Colonial Secretary; Sir John Pakington, Secretary of War; Sir Stafford Nottingham, Eirat Lord of the Admiralty ; and the Bight Hon. H. J. Cony, Under-Secretary for the Colonies. The Derby Government has promised that the provisions of the new Reform Bill, which it is preparing, will be liberal in their character, C. J\ Browne, better known as " Artemus Ward," is dead. His remains were deposited in Kensal Green Cemetery on the Bth March. His illness was a vfery brief one. The promised Reform Bill will be presented to Parliament on the 11th instant.

The leaders of the great English Parliamentary parties had held outside meetings ; Liberals assembling at Mr Gladstone's London -house, and Ministerialists at Earl Derby's official, residence, Downing street. At the last-named meeting, the Premier declared that this was the last time he should attempt to deal with the question of Reform, and that if he failed now he should bid farewell to official life.
