Ist heat— 4min. 46sec. 2nd do — 4min. 33sec. Dunedin Cup, Knottingly Ist ; Musician 2nd. March 22, 11.30 a.m. The attendance at the races yesterday was not so large as usual the uncertain state of the weather preventing manyfrom attending. It passed off pleasantly without any mishap. Presto was third in the Jockey Club Handicap. Virginia was the favorite, 3 to 2 against her being taken. Bad start. Time 2min. 51^sec. The Dunedin Cup race was the finest of the day. Presto only ran 100 yards. Knottingly got the start and kept the lead till near the finish. Musician made a game effort but without success, Knot--tingly winning by a length. Time— 4min. 52sec.
