The G-overnor proceeded to Port Chalmers at 11 a.m., in the Golden Age, accompanied by forty guests invited by Major Eichardson. A large concourse on the jetty to bid him farewell. Enthusiastically cheered on leaving the wharf. Major Richardson met groans and cries of " old scamp," &c. Provincial Government intended to get up a demonstration, but Major Eichardhad made arrangements otherwise. The Governor patronised tHe Philharmonic Concert, at Princess' Theatre. The house was crowded. Greatly cheered on leaving. ._ The Brisk is to sail at 2 p.m. Dttnedin, March 15, 5.20 p.m. In consequence of the bad weather the Brisk does not sail till to-morrow. -■-. DujTEDrsr, March 16, 10 a.m. " The Governor is on board the Brisk, ship, detained at Otago Heads until the weather moderates. It will be for your Honor to decide all future arrangements. J. L. C.
