IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulations of Elections, Act, 1858," I, James Surrnan, Returning Officer for the Electoral* District of Waianiwa, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date this 28th day of February, 1867, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Southland, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member af the Provincial Council for the said Electoral Dictrict, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the School House, Waianiwa, at noon on SATURDAY, the 16th day of MARCH, 1867 ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on TUESDAY, the 19th day of MARCH, 1867.
