THOMAS WATSON.
Treasurer. Mr. Toshack moved that the Treasure's Report be adopted, which was secondad by Mr. Bethune, and unamiously agreed to. Several of the speakers expressed their opinion, that the report was highly satisfactory. The Rev. William Bannerman, of Clutha, addressing the meeting, urged upon the congregation the importance of wiping away as soon as possible the remaining debt, and of making increased efforts towards augmenting the Sustentation Fund. Mr. Bannerman also referred to the steps which the Synod of Otago and Southland have taken toward making provision for the training of young men in this colony for the work of the ministry, and hoped that this congregation would bestir themselves in so important a matter. At intervals the Choir, conducted by Mr. M'Kellar, sang several peices of sacred music.
